The Jitters*

In about 12 hours, I'm going to be on the phone, training. Not on MY phone, mind you, because of AT&T, fucknuggets that they are, but up at Mb's. She's going to be out and about, so it'll be just me, the cats and Jazz the Wonder Akita.

I was freaking out about it to her Friday evening, and we hatched a plot where in she's going to pick me up at OMG-a.m., we'll go to the food bank, and back to her place. Then she'll drop Bozo and Baby Bozo off at job and school respectively, and go do her thing.

I have a massive headache, my neck is in a knot, I'm afraid I won't sleep at all, I'm worried about how to explain any of this situation to my colleague---because not having the basic infrastructure in place, even though it isn't my fault, still makes me look unreliable. *whimper*

On the other hand, if Mb's cable-on-demand works, I can catch up on this season of Justified. A little reward for a day's work and coping with all the agita....

It's been going well so far. The landline is working, the DSL isn't yet, but I've been getting by with the mooched wireless. And I'm approved for a max of 25 hours this week, so I should be able to get 20 hours for January, which helps.

An Akita? I'm jealous! They hav the softest, most velvety fur....have him sit by the phone so you can stroke him while you're training. I'm sure it won't hurt! ;)

I've updated. It's continuing to go well. So far, everyone has been encouraging about my performance, which at this point is based largely on my ability to copy and paste to a spreadsheet. Come Monday, though, I'll be listening in on actual sales calls, preparatory to making them myself. I'm looking forward to it: I give good phone (I don't think I've lost my touch).
