Moving and shaking

vanillafluffy The loveseat has gone, and a garment rack has taken its place to corral my winter-wear. The idea is to get it all out of the closet in my office, so it can be converted into a linen closet. I have quite a lot of linens, from vintage tablecloths to blankets and afghans and quilts, oh my. They're currently cached all over the house, which is highly unsatisfactory. Yes, I can stand to thin the herd somewhat, but I'd still like to have the whole stash in one central location.
I rather wish Mr. GK would go out of town more often; GK is much more productive when she isn't flipping out about having to be home to cook dinner in her high heels and pearls (metaphorically if not literally). On Sunday, in addition to carrying off the loveseat and setting up the garment rack, she also hung a coat rack on the back of my front door. Handy for the stuff I wear most often!
The garment rack is nearly filled already. I've moved some smaller pieces around--I had to take down most of the shallow baskets I had mounted to the wall over the loveseat, since the garment rack is much taller and needed to be up against the wall. Come spring, it'll go out to the shed, but it's quite useful as is.
In between everything else, I'm making progress on <I>The Man With the Silver Arm</I>. I just keep chanting, "The end is in sight! The end is in sight!" and pressing on. (Although I also coughed up a Trixie ficlet on Monday, as well as posting some MCU fluff that I wrote near the end of the summer...there are a few things that never made it onto AO3 because I was so worn out at that point. I wrote a lot last summer, but by September, I felt so atrocious that my follow-through was in a massive state of fail.)
My sleep schedule is beyond skewed, but otherwise, I feel pretty good.
