Baby, it's cold outside

 Wow, it's really coming down. I noticed last night while I was waiting for Dominos that it was snowing and sticking...around 9 pm, we had around an inch. Now I'd say it's closer to six inches, and it's still coming down quite briskly. 

It's rather pretty, in a Currier and Ives kind of way--and I'm very thankful I don't have to go anywhere in it!

I've lived with snow in the winter my entire life and even though I get tired of it around February or so, after all these years I still love to watch it come down. Especially when the flakes are big and fluffy and everything is quiet and still. Enjoy!

I lived in a winter state the first fourteen years of my life, but forty years in Florida blurred the reality. Yes, the first snow of the year is magical. It looks so pretty coming down and draping everything with clean white frosting...then it melts into grey slush, which is highly unattractive. At this point, it's all gone except for little pockets in places that stay in the shade.

Oh well. This afternoon, I'm going to see The Nutcracker ballet--GK got me the ticket a month ago--which I've been anticipating and I'm determined to have a good time!
