Of friendship and multi-tasking

This evening, I washed my hair, debugged my computer, did a load of laundry, sat through a movie and a bunch of DVD extras, and finished a beading project. Awhile back, I picked up a killer little black dress that needed something, and I hit on a decorative belt---nothing too elaborate, but colorful---I had a bunch of wooden beads on hand, and put together a nifty accent piece.

The extras were from Bubba Ho-Tep, which I've been wanting to see since the first time I read the back of the box. The movie I actually sat through was...The House of Wax. Yes, the remake. I got about halfway through the first time, and lost patience because the DVD sticks a bit and froze up on me. (Of course, NOW I have an urge to write fan-fic. But I must go get some sleep, since I have to go in early tomorrow to get my teeth cleaned.)

See my shiny new icon! adventurat made it for me! I sent her the pix and she animated them for me. I found the second one on Yahoo Images with the search words "body trunk"...it's a frat boy prank, right?! I *hope* it isn't a real body, that would just be too creepy!

I LOVE that movie. Bruce Campbell is an amazing Elvis, and Ossie Davis is no slouch as JFK, either. ;-)

I'm not a huge Bruce fan---nothing against him, just not my type (Okay, now there's a Freudian typo for you, I started to write, "not my trype"!), but as an adopted Southern gal, the idea of Elvis vs. the Mummy hooked me. So I'll kick back on the couch at some point tomorrow and watch the actual movie.

Trust me, you don't have to like Bruce to enjoy "Bubba Ho-Tep" -- you'll LOVE it!
