Compared to S's schnauzers, the C's two dogs are such a joy. They're quiet---no yipping, no whining, no begging at mealtimes---really, they're very easy to get along with. They get along with each other, too---it's sweet watching little Rosie and big Bear sniffing and nuzzling each other. None of the "schnauzers striving for supremacy" that happens all the time among S's pack.

This house is gorgeous---the only thing I'd change about it is the split-level floor plan; it makes my knees grumble---it has a spacious kitchen AND a living/dining room, a foyer AND a family room. AND it's a four bedroom. In terms of square footage, I think the downstairs is about as big as my whole house, PLUS it has those four bedroom upstairs. Wow.

If the Universe gave me a choice between this place and S's house, it wouldn't be hard to choose. The only thing I like better about S's place is the jacuzzi, and there's a screened room out back here that could accomodate that. Although...my favorite "I would SO love to live there" house is *still* B & A's place.(And you can throw in their dog, who is my favorite of the whole pack.) B & A's kitchen is almost as good as here, and it has the courtyards, which are my idea of great private outdoor space. Mind you, I've gone skyclad in S's backyard, because it has high fences, but I'm always afraid I'm going to step in a schnauzer souvenir....

I'm trying to summon enough get up and go to wander over to the mall for a movie, but I've gotten comfy and don't especially want to go anywhere.

Dog sitting? Oh how I envy you! I need dogs in my life!

I hope you enjoy their company.

They're good company. Alas, I don't have a dog either---my yard isn't fenced, for one thing, and there are times it's all I can do to feed myself, for another---so I live vicariously via other people's pooches.

I've gone skyclad

O.O You're a brave lass. Even with high fences, I'd be too shy to do that, heheh.

High fences, no neighbors at all on one side, and lots of trees. And it was midnight....

*lol* Even then, I probably wouldn't. I'm only skyclad in the tub, and in bed (and even then, sad to say, I wear socks!). :)

Bare in mind (Sorry!) that I'm in Florida, where it's tropical about 85% of the time. Also, my house doesn't have a/c, so I'm quite used to wandering around the place in the altogether....

Ah yes, lack of a/c...luckily that's not the case for me. When it gets too hot, I get VERY lethargic, so no a/c doesn't work well for me at all...

Technically, I have a window unit in my bedroom, or I'd really be suffering, but the other thousand square feet are serviced by fans. That's one of the reasons I got a lot written last summer when I was out of work: it doesn't take much energy to sit and write---but my housekeeping, such as it is, fell by the wayside, because as you say, lethargy sets in....
