I have never in my life taken a drink at 8 in the morning, but today, I was powerfully tempted to go for a first. I have never deleted a review--even the flames!--but today, I am giving it serious thought. Connect the dots...

An individual left me two reviews on WG--the first was brief and pleasant. The other one was lengthy--I swear it would print out at *at least* two pages!--and picked a number of nits, some of which drew blood. *headdesk* I'm reasonably sure it was intended as constructive criticism; however, I think something of that length and specificity ought better to have been sent as an e-mail rather than posted as a review.

Part of my reaction is my ego; I know that. WG is a project I'm fairly proud of. It's the lengthiest thing I've ever completed and by far the most intricate. I don't claim that it's *perfect*, I don't for a moment think I'm on a par with Gaiman--I'm many tiers lower, looking upward with worshipful adoration--but this leaves me with the apprehension that my baby is cross-eyed and I didn't notice. Poor baby, Mama loves you anyway!

In other news, the annual bonus will be in next week's check, huzzah. Now maybe I can stop hemorrhaging service charges!
