Today was another grand day. Beautiful weather--I'm glad CP had clear and sunny weather for his trip--he's from New England, and he commented on how great it was to spend time at the beach yesterday when back home there's snow on the ground. He was the speaker for the service today, and discussed how he found his path, which was well-told. After coffee hour, we had the final workshop, this one on Reiki (about which I know/knew very little)

I would probably have gotten more out of it if I'd been more alert, but the meeting room was warm, and it was all I could do to stay awake, much less attentive. At the end, we did a group Reiki circle for healing--I don't know if this is common practice, or just Chris's interpretation--but we each invited a deity into the circle, then went around and stated the name or names of who we wanted to send our energy to. (Brigit was very popular.) I have two people in my life who particularly need some good energy--they don't know each other, and the only thing I know for sure that they have in common aside from me is that they're both quite fond of cats--so I invoked Bast.

This is the third ritual I've been in that Chris has led, and I'm impressed by how confident he is. Even when I'm alone--or maybe especially when I'm "alone"--I feel silly and self-conscious when I call corners out loud. He projects beautifully--although he *did* say repeatedly that he originally wanted to be a rock star, so I suppose he's worked though stage-fright already. Again, I heartily endorse hearing him speak if you get a chance. He really has wonderful presence!

Tomorrow, I'm back in telephone hell...let's hope the end of that situation is in sight!
