A Grand Day Off
Mar. 31st, 2006 06:50 pmIt is with a satisfied smile that I can report Mission Accomplished. The taxes are paid, I'm safe for another year. The car insurance is renewed--with the same company, Geico, since the quote I got from the company my homeowner's policy is through was considerably more.
I got all that done bright and early; went over to Barnes and Noble and sat with the new Elizabeth Moon, Engaging the Enemy while waiting for Kat to get out of her doctor's appt. Then we had lunch and schmoozed for an hour or so, and I came home and caught a nap, since I stayed up much later than usual last night to see Antonio Banderas on Letterman.
Dave still raises my hackles--I don't know what it is about him that rubs me the wrong way, but it does--but Antonio is Looking Good. *fans self* (Which gives me hope that I'm holding up okay, since he's a scant month older than I.)
Tomorrow holds the possibility of going to Schnauzerland to do ceramics with S, depending on how outgoing I feel. I might just stay home and do laundry....
