The highlight of my day was definitely the cute guy on the roof.
Today there was way too much Monday going on. It proved the axiom about never underestimating the stupidity of the average person (since half the people out there are BELOW average). Wall-to-wall dumbass, I swear.
However, on my first break, I was out back, and I heard a noise coming from the extremely narrow alley between our building and the one next door. (The gap between the two is 12" or less.) I got up and walked over to look...looked up, and there was a guy leaning over the gap. Shirtless. Tanned. Lean. Blue jeans, riding low on his hips. I stood and waited, and after a little while, he straightened up and walked my way, and he was FINE. Dark hair, glorious blue eyes, and really, really cute. I enjoyed the view and flirted for a few minutes...yummy!
The rest of the day...I don't even want to talk about. When I finally got out of there and went out to my car, T had a dead battery. Because I am fundamentally a decent bitch, I fished out my jumper cables and helped her get her car started. (Believe me, I was ready to go HOME, so that was a matter of extreme conscience.) No, we didn't have any help--jump starting cars is up there on the list of things I'm perfectly able to do unassisted, like hooking up speakers for surround sound or programming a VCR. That *did* give me a little confidence boost/lift in spirits--I really AM a capable adult, even if I am overwhelmed by the amount of sheer bullsh*t I have to deal with.
Gawd, it's barely April, and it's already 82F. This does not bode well for August!
