vanillafluffy: (Got marbles?)
Last night, I posted "Comfort Food" and "Cost Benefit Analysis" over at the Vole Pit...faithful readers will remember that those are both Flight of the Phoenix vignettes. I've come to the conclusion that I'm unlikely to write more in that fandom (unless someone wants it for Yuletide; I may offer it as a possibility). It's extremely obscure and I like appreciation for my writing. So far, both stories combined have fewer than twenty hits and ZERO reviews.

Not to mention the fact that I'm up to my ass in projects now. The only one that's flowing fairly smoothly is Flying Toward Destiny, but of course, there's no deadline on that. Meanwhile, in the next seven weeks, I have two birthday fics to write, and I think I'll have to cheat a bit; the November b-day doesn't share a critical element of my f'list and won't know that her fic has been slightly used as a costume** before she gets it. (It'll definitely qualify for [livejournal.com profile] karaokegirl's costume party: it's a crack-smoking crossover.)

I'm crossing a period movie with a TV fandom I've never written for. I've done ONE story for said movie fandom, but it's going to be thoroughly AU by the time I'm done with it. I'm keeping the movie's hero and transplanting him to modern day, where he and the hero of the TV fandom are going to be an interesting study in contrasts. My friend will squee, and the rest of you will probably think I've lost my marbles. Nope, right there. (See icon.)

The nice thing is, if I can get that done before November, I may take another whack at NaNoWriMo. (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) Depending, of course, on how crazy the rest of my life is....
