What a damned nuisance!

Grr. Facts can be damned inconvenient. At the moment, they're very inconvenient indeed. It seems that I can't state that a certain thing causes something else, because on looking more closely about the facts concerning that thing, it has exactly opposite effects. Buggery sod...so, on to Plan B, which involves rewriting certain consequences and adding another element which is more plausible than Plan A.

It's a bloody nuisance, but at least it's only 2000 words and not 3/4 done. (I'm just getting warmed up, really.) And it isn't like I have to rewrite the whole thing, just fiddle with a few 'graphs....

Plus, it gives me a chance to be cryptic, although I suspect six months down the line, even I won't have a clue what I'm talking about.

This is my brain on crack!fic....

So basically, my ass has been in this chair for most of the last twelve hours. I'm drunk with the power of creation, and I'm lucky my neighbors haven't called the guys with the butterfly nets, considering how much I've been cackling.

It isn't quite done, but the end is in sight. So far, it has eight sections, and will probably end up being 2 or 3 sections longer, depending on the amount of exposition. The word count currently stands at a tidy 5500 words, so I project the completed total to be *around* 7000....

And, oh happy day, while I was flitting about on Wikipedia, I found a picture that will serve nicely as a cover or banner or whatever you want to call a picture at the top to suggest content. (Unless I find a better picture between now and then. We'll see.)
