Speaking of pre-pubescent crushes and nights in front of the TV, Saturday nights were awesome for a few brief, golden years. There was Emergency**, back-to-back with the original Mission: Impossible topped off with a heaping helping of Mike Conners in Mannix.

How I forgot Mannix yesterday, I'll never know! Did I mention Lee Majors as the first TV guy I most wanted to marry? What was I thinking?! Mr Connors is at the root of my penchant for guys with dark hair and dark eyes and fast cars....

** It's probably significant that when my cousin and I played cop/rescue games like Adam-12 and Emergency, I was the dispatcher. ("One Adam-12, one Adam-12, see the woman, 101 Maple Street, domestic disturbance, handle Code 2.") Foreshadowing my career wearing a headset at an early age, I suppose!

This morning, I took a leaf from "Field of Dreams"...went and spent an hour in the garage, pitching things and rearranging. Got my big "kettle" bbq grill set back up---it toppled over I don't *know* how long ago---pushed stuff around, and I now have a path to the side door! This is significant progress. Go, me!

There is still a metric buttload of miscellany that needs to find new homes before I can fit a car in there, but it's better than it was. It's like one of those puzzles with sliding tiles; move this here, that there, can't do anything until there's room to get X from point A to point B....

And the idea of that dusty, cruddy space being used as a paint booth---ai! But I'll cross that Rubicon when I get to it.
