Gee, apparently we have TS Barry to thank for abyssmal weather this weekend. (Hmm...abyssmal. That's another word that ought to have made it onto the vocabulary list that's making the rounds of my f'list. Although, they don't have anathema, plethora, dearth or paucity, either. Very vexing. No clue what I'm havering about? I first saw it here: http://adventurat.livejournal.com/432832.html and a few other places since. And since you're my friends, I know you're smarter than the average bear and will find this entertaining and enlightening. Bears...okay, my mind is officially in the gutter. That's not news to you guys, is it?) Anyway, it rained fish the whole way home, and promises to rain steadily for the next 24 hours. Joy. Luckily, it was minnows, not mullet.

The skies at the moment are actually sunny, but looking at the Weather Channel site shows a band of nasty weather drifting our way. I'll head over to the C.'s, make sure the critters are tended, and head toward work early in hopes of avoiding/outrunning the worst of the ick.

I hope they have a safe trip and that the funeral isn't too arduous.
