vanillafluffy: (moist and fluffy)
Got lectured this morning by the dentist...haven't been to her in about two years, most recent dental visit was the office in Melb. by where I work. This one, oddly, is two doors down from where I used to work. Perhaps the next time I'm job hunting I should pick a dentist as Ground Zero and expand my search from there---?

As I suspected, my options are: 1, spend a buttload of money I don't have for a root canal and crown, or 2, have it out. And it's looking like OUT, because if I DID have a buttload of money, which I don't, I'd put it toward taxes or another car.

However, she wrote me a couple scrips, which I'm trying to figure out how to finance. HR at work hasn't returned my call asking who's in charge of our RX benefits, which is slowing things down. I can probably wait til Friday for the painkillers, but the sooner I get the antibiotics, the less I'll need the painkillers. (Of course, I'll fill it anyway, because they're so useful to have on hand...like last weekend.)

Anyway, enough about my teeth.

vanillafluffy: (Do I look happy?)
It took me nearly 12 hours to get my scrips...first, I had to call HR and leave repeated voice mails because I found out that our Rx coverage is through a different company than our medical or dental coverage. I had to find out what company, contact them for the number (that was the only call all day where I felt like I was dealing with someone who had a clue), and call Walgrens with the info twice, and it still took about five hours (and as many phone calls) for them to get their act together.

To the point that, when I went into the store and walked up to the counter---because it's easier to be intimidating when you're right there in their face---I announced myself with, "Hi, I'm here to pick up a prescription. The name is Vanilla Fluffy. I'm the pain in the ass who's been calling all afternoon." (One of the women back there nearly lost a lung. Go, me!)

Now I'm suitably medicated, ready for some cheesy instant taters and back to the grind tomorrow. Well, at least I'll be able to talk intelligibly!

+++

Also, I'm being nibbled by my first Crossing Jordan bunny. I can't help it; I'm enjoying the chemistry between Kate and Nigel!
