Just finished installing MS Office, which brings me one step closer to working from home. Yay!

Went over to the C's last night after work, loved on their critters, tossed and turned---did NOT sleep well---got up at oh-dark-thirty and staggered over to the Asbury Arms Fall Sale. Usually, I am the first person in line, being a little obsessive that way, don't you know. This morning I arrived at 7:30, with a dozen people ahead of me, but I squeed mightily when I realized one of them was [livejournal.com profile] missybrat. Verily, much squeeing was heard.

She was there with her MIL, and said that she had been really surprised that I wasn't there when she arrived. We've worked at two different jobs together and used to hang out all the time. She knows me SO well, despite the fact that we hardly see each other these days.

Got some lovely dirt on what's been going on at Back-Stabbing Morons (our last employer, the medical billing office that screwed me out of unemployment benefits). Between firings and personal catastrophes, it sounds like kharma came home to roost in a big way. What's that word that means delighting in the misfortune of others? Schadenfreude? I know it's earning me cockroach kharma in a big way, but baby, I have some serious schadenfreude going on!

My plan right now calls for a nap before work---the days when I could make like the battery bunny on four hours of sleep are behind me---and back to the C's afterward. I work tomorrow afternoon, but I go in an hour later.
