Geek ahead
Oct. 7th, 2007 01:10 amToday has been an astonishingly long day (considering how little sleep I had).
Vintage Impala for sale, sighted on the way to work. I may leave early enough tomorrow to stop, geek and drool. (Although I shudder to imagine what the price is.)
Friday night---I neglected to recount this yesterday, my bad---I had a nice chat with a guy who was at the gas pumps fueling his 70s-era Corvette Stingray. He says he gets about 13 mpg---ouch! He zoomed past me a couple blocks later and disappeared into the distance....
Movie geek moment while taking a call this evening (I took so many orders, I don't remember who for, Trendicrap, I think): I heard familiar music in the background, and asked the gal, "Is it my imagination, or are you all watching The Mummy?" She cracked up---that's exactly what it was, which gives you some idea of what a movie geek I am.
Tomorrow (okay, technically later today), I go do it again, which I don't look forward to, but at least afterward, I can go crash in my own bed.
There's no place like home....
