This hasn't been as bad as last year. That said, why the fuck is it OUR fault that the post office lost Miss Bitch's order?! I wish I could just refund them for the asking, but I can't, sorry, it isn't up to me, I don't make the rules, go fuck yourself sideways.

Last week, a woman called in to say she'd received someone else's order in with her package and she was going to forward it to the correct person, and she thought we should know. Heart-warming, right? Today I got a call from another woman who'd gotten someone else's order included with her own and complained about what an inconvenience it would be to send it back to us, even if we sent her a prepaid return label. She demanded an accomodation; I put in a request to have her shipping credited back on her order, and I'M DISGUSTED. Maybe it's just because I'm an idealist, but her attitude is stomach-turning.

Two more days, just two more days....

For some reason, I'm more in the holiday mood this year than I've been in ages. I have a desire to run hog-wild with tinsel and greenery and spend a day baking. I'm sorry that I didn't get any Xmas cards mailed---I got three cards from members of my f'list, one from a gal at church, and one---this startled me!---from the folks at LeSnobbi.

Beginning Sunday, I'll have four whole days off. We're having a Yule ritual and gift exchange at church---after which I should probably work on the Xmas fic. Christmas Eve is scheduled to visit the C's. Christmas Day, I get to see Sweeney Todd with CF, her treat, and then dinner and canasta at Schnauzerland. Wednesday will be spent recovering from so much boisterous leisure.

And at some point amid all the festivities, I'll get to *talk* to [livejournal.com profile] kukkurkurat, who's departing her native Estonia and coming to spend Christmas with relatives in Virginia. We've been corresponding for, OMG, about three years now, and we're finally going to be able to talk to each other! (Same time zone and everything!)

There's a box from me waiting for her under the tree in Virginia---according to the tracking, it was delivered yesterday---and I'm looking forward to her reaction to that, and to hearing all about her trip, and I'm intensely curious about what she sounds like---Estonian is her first language and she learned English from an Irishwoman.

Okay, time to contain myself and start logging in for work....
