A new viewpoint
Jan. 5th, 2008 01:55 pmAlthough having to duck around the make-shift curtain over the office doorway is a bit of a nuisance, it makes the room cozier to a degree that I find startling. Ordinarily, the view through the door is the slanted wall that houses my bedroom door, and a right-angle jog of hallway.
It's enough to make me in whole-hearted agreement of the feng shui tenet of shars. A shar, or spear, is what they call it when you are faced with a pointy angle. There's also something about uneven or irregular doors creating unfavorable chi energy.
I like it enough that I think I'll keep a curtain up, although come warmer weather, I'll find a lighter fabric. When it's completely transitioned to boudoir, I think that will also help as a softening touch. Maybe something with a bit of lace? *daydreams*
