Nice weather for a nap
Jan. 19th, 2008 08:00 pmToday has been a very nice one. Had a lunch invitation from
sbjb, Panera Bread at 2 PM, so I dashed over there and spent most of Red's Christmas gift card at Books-a-Million---snagged the latest issue of Belle Armoire---and went over to Panera and had black bean soup and a portobello panini and cold chai tea latte with whipped cream.
Then the CUUPs meeting---one of AI's tarot classes---only two other gals there. (One's a friend of mine, the other is less so---I've heard some of the things she says about other people behind their backs.) I may have a play date on Monday, because the friendly one has the day off and is amenable to hanging out.
I stopped at Winn-Dixie on the way home---got shallots, green onions and butter for more kitchen adventures. I want to make another quiche, hopefully better than yesterday's attempt, and give the gingerbread another try.
It's raining again, another thunderstorm. Very odd for January! (But since I only had about five hours of sleep last night, I'm sure it'll help lull me into snoozyland!)
