Decisions, decisions....

Okay, so I signed up for thingsunwritten. (An original fic exchange, oh boy!) It'll be due at the end of February. I'm more interested in what my assignment is going to be than in what I'm going to get, because OMG ORIGINAL FIC.

Now I'm eyeing a fanfic challenge that looks tasty: purimgifts. Due March 13th, which should give me time to accomplish it after I submit the OMGOF. So far, there are posts with request for fandoms I can write, and I have until the 31st to decide/see what other requests pop up.

Anybody want to join me? *looks around hopefully* Come on, you know you want to!

Good Things

Since my friends the C's are leaving on their cruise Saturday, we got together for last-minute instructions. Trash collection is Mondays and Thursdays, the vet info for the critters is on the fridge, and I have permission to drive AI's car while they're gone. (I don't plan to make a habit of it, but I'm quite relieved not to have to drive to Vero in a car with no speedometer.)

Then they invited me to Applebee's for dinner, which I accepted with alacrity and thanks. Had French onion soup, the house sirloin and chocolate mousse, and waddled out of there smiling.

On the way over there, I popped into Fashion Bug---I was good, honest! I have been looking for a belt for a month, and now I have one. It's a black elastic band, three inches wide, with a leopard-look buckle and tabs. (The coat itself is black with a leopart print lining.) Oh happy day! Now I just have to mark where I want it to hit and cannabalize the old shoestring belt for belt loops.

And the best part? It was on sale for $3.99. Figjam!
