vanillafluffy: (Sewing Society)
I talked to CapeGypsy this evening and tomorrow she's going to come by and haul up the filled bags, as per our agreement. At this point, I have three full bags (165 gallons!) of trash. By then, I should also have a fourth bag that's all plastic bottles---I swear, they're spawning! (She has recycling facilities there to dump them into.)

While I was noodling around, I found the Norwegian weavings that I compared the striped drapery fabric to...the runner, which can go on the coffee table, works well with the colors in the material. (The tablecloth, not so much.) I also was flabbergasted to uncover an IBM Selectric typewriter stacked on a chair...wtf?! I completely forgot I had that---Kat gave it to me when she moved; heaven only knows where she got it. I don't need it---hopefully they can haul that off as well! Which may also give you some idea how long that corner has been untouched.

The pattern on the drapes is much more visible after dark, as I expected, and they look quite nice. I haven't made as much progress on the table---okay, no progress---but considering how long the dining room has languished, I'm quite chuffed.

I've just had another bunny sink its fangs into my femur, so I'll be going now....

vanillafluffy: (Write or die!)
Between my last post and this one, I coughed up 1100 words, potentially chapter one of something for which I only have a vague idea of direction. But what the hell, I'm writing!

And after I forwarded it to someone whose opinion I trust, I went into my kitchen and cleared the woolly mammoth steaks out of the freezer. (No lie, there was ground turkey in there dated 2006!) Put two "normal" 30-gallon trashbags at the curb for pickup tomorrow. (CapeGypsy said no kitchen trash.) My freezer is damn near empty!

My, I'm awfully exclaimatory and parenthetical tonight!

Must get to bed; need to get up early for doctor....
