(no subject)

Sciatica has been giving me grief all weekend and is still going strong. Made it to church anyway. No food pantry because Mb can't afford the gas and I don't have the money to kick in for any.

All in all, a quiet St Pat's. I had a can of corned beef hash and a beer for dinner, so I felt like I honored the day Yes, I would've prefered a well-simmered brisket in my crockpot, but I do what I can with what I've got. The beer was one of a six-pack I picked up last summer when I was at Mb's. (JW Dundee's Honey Lager, the only beer I really like.) She and I each had one at the time, and I had the third one Sunday; at that rate they'll last another year,

Still no sign of my paycheck--I know they have 30 days to issue a check, but FFS, must they wait the whole time?! I'd like to get my bills paid before the 11th hour, not to mention Steak'n'Shake has a new caramel-salted-prretzel shake that sounds positively orgasmic.

Words can't do justice to how much I adore this bed. Not that it would FIT in my current bedroom (and if it did, it would be like a pig wearing pearls), but WOW!---it sure inspires some interesting fantasies! I'd go for a paisley wallpaper, rather than the stripes, and throw in some brass/gold accents, really go for the whole Byzantine vibe....



And this! I want to top it with this, and some big silk pillows! Although I'd like it better if it had a darker background, like midnite blue or burgundy--I'm not loving the pink---pink-mauve is definitely *not* in synch with the Byzantine thing!.
