Well, that's exciting!

Yesterday at work, I went to a meeting for a potential work at home program. I need to check the parameters of my system---I'm not positive I have some of the hardware they're describing, and I know I'll need to obtain MS Office---but OMG, not have to commute?! Be able to sit here in my birthday suit and take calls? Be still, my beating heart!
And on another gratifying note, this offer is only being made to employees whose stats are in the top 25%. (Which just about floored me, with all the CRAP He-Boss gives me about my handle time.) Apparently I've been doing better than I thought!
Of course, there's going to be a TV discretely nearby...although I may have to hit the 'mute' button during calls.
I'll keep y'all posted!

Date: 2007-08-24 05:07 pm (UTC)My husband, whose commute is 100 miles a day, gets to work from home usually at least one day a week, and it's keeping him sane. It makes great sense for the kind of work you do, too.
