Yesterday at work, I went to a meeting for a potential work at home program. I need to check the parameters of my system---I'm not positive I have some of the hardware they're describing, and I know I'll need to obtain MS Office---but OMG, not have to commute?! Be able to sit here in my birthday suit and take calls? Be still, my beating heart!

And on another gratifying note, this offer is only being made to employees whose stats are in the top 25%. (Which just about floored me, with all the CRAP He-Boss gives me about my handle time.) Apparently I've been doing better than I thought!

Of course, there's going to be a TV discretely nearby...although I may have to hit the 'mute' button during calls.

I'll keep y'all posted!

That's the good news hinted at last night!? That's FANTASTIC!!! No more daily commute...with a cranky car! And in the top 25% at work! *Thumbs nose in he-boss's general direction...yes, I've been lurking, and know about he-boss*

Yes, that's what I was hinting at, but was knackered enough to know I couldn't communicate it coherently.

YAH! And double YAH! for the great stats!

My husband, whose commute is 100 miles a day, gets to work from home usually at least one day a week, and it's keeping him sane. It makes great sense for the kind of work you do, too.

I'm really excited and happy---and relieved! Thanks for the good mojo---I know my friends have been thinking positive thoughts for me, and I'm certain that helped!

That is GREAT news! I hope that it works out, because, OMG to not have to commute would make a huge difference in your life! *glares at gas prices* (and that's just a start)

I'll have everything crossed for you.

Thanks for the positive thinking---it's appreciated, believe me!---just don't cross anything so tightly that you cut off circulation!

My gosh, that's fantastic!

And, if you don't have the needed hardware, we'll take up a collection and get it for you!

Bless you! This 'puter is a couple years old, and may or may not be upgradable, but I'll find *some* way to take advantage of this! I'm excited, crossing my fingers and trying not to hold my breath...my friend AI says she can find MS Office, which I've survived thus far without...and I'm getting hardware advice from a tech-oriented guy at church. I'll let you know!
