I admit, the first thing that came to my mind was drugs. How cynical life makes us. It could be something much more prosaic---slipped in the shower, came down wrong and wrenched a knee or ankle---and I hope it is, because I'm *so* tired of these Hollywood "failure at success" stories.

*nods* I've been following it. And am baffled, because he's been very successful over the last few years. Clearly, we don't know the whole story. I hope he can get his life together and enjoy it, and not turn into another John Belushi.

There's been speculation that he was bummed over his breakup with Kate Hudson, but you're right -- we don't know the whole story and probably never will.
