The morning I awoke---early, thanks to the time change, to find the temp's gone down to 64F/17.7C, which is downright brisk, since it's been hovering around 80F/26.6C for a month now. The thought of being able to break out some of my long-sleeved wardrobe leaves me giddy. Jackets! Blazers! My favorite waffle-textured shirt! Yay, flannel!

LOL. I don't know that I love long-sleeved clothes THAT much, but I do find the classrooms at school that have been unbearably HOT up til now are actually starting to be cool and comfortable sometimes!

I suspect it's a Florida thing. After spending five months trying to figure out how few clothes I can get away with wearing, it's a novelty to be able to go into the other half of my closet. And I've got a flannel fetish....

I am sitting here in my flannel jammies this morning, which clocked in at a brisk 40 degrees. It's supposed to drop to 31 at night during the coming week, and the trees are turning colors.

I love autumn. The waning light tends to exacerbate my blues, but I love the colors and the cozy clothes.

Right now, it is such a huge treat after five and a half months of "Fuck, I'm roasting!" I picked up two pairs of flannel sleep pants over the summer, and I'm finally getting the chance to wear them. (Leopard print flannel ROCKS! The other ones are a denim-ish blue.) And plaid flannel. I have a huge plaid!flannel!kink. Huge.

Man, I wish I could get my husband, whose wardrobe makes the Amish look frivolous, to wear plaid flannel. He'd get a whole lot more really good hugs if he did. ;D

Leopard print flannel does indeed rock -- warm, fun and sexy all in one package! My jammies are always whimsical: I have a pair with moons and stars on them, and today's have lime green and purple sheep.

Sheep thrills! These are the first flannel bottoms I've had since I was, like, 11. However, I *did* buy several pairs of flannel pjs for H.W.S.N.B.N.---hugs weren't all he got!

Hee! God forbid my husband should wear some actual, ya know, color. Everything he owns is either navy blue, black, dark brown, hunter green or charcoal gray. Sheesh!

Mine wears nothing but dark slacks and plain, light colored shirts. No stripes, no plaids, no checks, no patterns, no pastels, no bright colors. And they must be long-sleeved shirts, year-round. See what I meant about the Amish?

He does have a few sweaters with some red in them that I bought him. He actually likes red but will not buy anything in that color. Go figure.

That Amish comment had me in stitches! And yeah - I know exactly what you mean. Men! *shakes head*

Same here. I *love* cooler weather and colorful sweaters and waffle-weave shirts and flannel sleep pants.

Mmmm, cozy!
