I just spent two hours doing beta on a story for someone, only to find out that none of my changes had been saved. Not because I didn't hit command-S, because I did. OFTEN. *headdesk, repeated several times* And right now I am *NOT* up to doing it again. Two hours. *snarls*

Maybe I'm just over-tired. I got up *early* to go deliver S's power cord in time to be able to come home and shower before church. (Hoping that there wouldn't be any traffic at 7 AM on a Sunday, but there was. I took the route I've been avoiding, which was *bad*. The new bridge is *looming* beside the old bridge, and there are still concrete barriers and the lanes are poorly marked and it was a nightmare. So I won't try that again for another six months...)

Church was standing room only, which freaked me out. I'm one of the few who likes a small, cozy gathering. Everyone else wants a full house to be the norm. I can understand it from the POV of we need more money coming in and the same few people are the ones who do everything--but I hate crowds. I nearly bolted this morning. I'm glad I didn't, because afterward I got to chat with Lady J for a bit and found out her birthday is this coming Tuesday (I need to put together something nice for her.)

Today's service was performed by the zendo...they were ordaining two Buddhist monks. It was quite interesting, and I've decided that there's absolutely *no chance* that I'll ever go that route. Not just the shaved head business--that would be good for some sympathy at work!--no, the constant bowing would do me in in the first five minutes. *Kneel, rise, kneel, rise, kneel, rise* Repeat again two minutes later. I'd blow a knee out on the third or fourth rise....

Maybe I'll go see that movie tomorrow after work. I try not to run around after dark if I can help it, but I *need* a diversion.
