Canada. You probably get irritated when British people and Europeans think you're from the States, but over here we wouldn't make a mistake like that.

Hubby looked at me oddly when I was saying the words out loud to check exactly how I did pronounce them.

I suspect it was the last question that nailed me---the pronunciation of the pronoun "I"...which does, I'll admit, tend to come out as "Ah" as often as not. (On the other hand, "dog" clearly has "awe" in the middle. Pure New York...although my take on "bird" does NOT come out as "boyd"!)
