General turmoil

I am running around half deranged---I don't know why I'm having such a hard time pulling myself together today, but I am. Yesterday wasn't much better---this week has been a nightmare!---although I *think* I've got the whole paycheck mess/banking crisis straightened out. I hope.

The downside is, because I'm opening a new account and depositing my check, I won't have access to the funds until the following business day, so right now, I'm down to loose change. (I picked a bank with Saturday hours, so I *can* get at it then.) Recycled another 11 pounds of cans yesterday, and am contemplating the rape of my piggy bank. Usually, I would've floated a check yesterday, but no can do this week....

One good thing, though---our corporate partners get to hear our calls to monitor our work, and the guy from Geezer Britches complimented me, saying I sounded "sooo smooth and controlled". Go, me!

And yeah, it's that time....

I'm currently surviving the wait for my new ATM by getting dole-outs from the hubby. I'm also trying to curtail some of my stress eating at the same time. Maybe not such a good idea.

I get to go in early tomorrow, pick up my check and deposit it---and still can't access funds until Saturday. However, stress eating isn't a problem, unless I start scarfing canned green beans. (And the only problem with that is the sodium!)

My couch never has any money in it, but today I fished out 45 cents from the coin tray in my car!

I commiserate on the banking/finance aggravation. We've been on a cash only, eat from the cupboards basis for about ten days due to a bank foul-up. I got my paycheck today, ran to the bank, and then discovered it had not been signed. (Although I can write the checks and pay the bills at work, I do not sign them.) I really thought I was going to burst into tears sitting in the drive-thru.

I went back to the office and found someone to sign it, so it ended as it should, but I was so upset at the time.

Ahh! I know how that goes, when that one final detail is just enough to cause a meltdown.

I just hope that the new bank will be less obnoxious than BSNB, because I really, really don't want to go through this again. It's a massive PITA.
