The concensus seems to be in favor of Style #4 (see yesterday's post). GK agrees. I have yet to decide where I'm going to have it done---I'm long out of touch with any stylists had a rapport with---but I have a few weeks to contemplate it.

I played hooky from church today and drafted all the notes I've made for the SPN Season 4 AU/crossover. Almost 7K words, and I'm just getting started. My goal is to start posting it before the "real" S4 starts, not that I think Kripke's version will be anything like mine.

The curtains I had up in the front windows of my office for the last couple of years were starting to disintegrate, so I bought a new tension rod---the old ones were held up with push-pins---dug a length of simple off-white fabric out of my stash, grabbed some cafe rings, of which I have a respectable stash---and got it taken care of. The side window needs something to match, but as it is, it's much improved. These new curtains are quietly opaque, and being off-white, are in line with what I eventually want the room to be.

I need to work on my room...it's a hot mess, and it's making me crazy that I can't find things. Plus, I need to do laundry, because I have no idea what I'm going to wear to the Posh Brits training...which I *did* manage to get moved to Tuesday, go me. (Someone else needed to trade Tuesday for Wednesday, go them!) I have to BE there at 10 AM, sit through training, kill 3 hours, and work my shift. Thankfully, I'll have Wednesday to recover and don't have to make the trip JUST for training.

I don't mind spending an evening in my room, because a) it's where the A/C is, and b) last payday I invested $6 in a "new" lamp. It's vintage, an etched-glass stem like a candlestick on a pressed-glass base, topped with a simple off-white shade that I already had. It's subdued light is just right, especially for snuggling up with some erotica at 3 AM.

Okay, time to go do something useful....

You did great with the shopping at home for curtains. Yah! for being clever.

I weeded the herb garden today, did (yet more) laundry, cooked supper and listened, with great amusement, to my husband cussing as he tried to screen two window panels on the porch. Because he'd never tried it, he thought it was easy. Now he knows why I hate having to rescreen the porch doors every few years. *g*

I need a whole new screen door. The one I have is at least 30 years old and pretty well useless for keeping bugs out.
