I got out of the house early this afternoon, and went to the used tire place. Got two decent tires for a smidge under $50. I didn't realize how much I'd been wincing about the tailpipe scraping every time I hit a rough patch. Much improved! Need to stop for gas on the way in tomorrow.

Had a few words with Uber-boss this afternoon, letting her know that the commute has been causing a lot of wear and tear on my vehicle. (I do not trust He-boss to adequately convey my consternation at the state of affairs.) Over $200 in less than 30 days---that's a lot on what I make!

Got lots of compliments on the cute new wedges---except from my feet, which seem to think I should've gone up a size. Maybe I will, if I can find them in a 12 the next time I have money. Then again, they're canvas, they ought to stretch a bit....

Work was decent, but if they don't have the TV fixed by next Thursday, I'm gonna be ticked!

If there's a shoemaker in the area, you might be able to find a 'shoe-stretcher'...I've got one, and I use it all the time to widen a too-tight shoe.

I'll look into that, though it'll depend on what they charge; I'm not paying $10 to rehab a $7 pair of shoes.

I believe it was 12$...but see, if you buy a shoe-stretcher, then you have it at home, for ANY future pair of shoes!

I don't blame you a bit for saying something, but do you think anything (positive) will come of it? *crosses fingers for you*

At least this way, it'll be on record if I have to go over her head (which I'm loathe to do, as it causes bad feeling---NOT what I want). I was nice about it, but I got the point across.

I'm also hoping something positive comes of mentioning the toll the commute is taking.

They've got classes for seasonal reps in progress. Our department isn't getting all of them, but there should be a steady influx over the next couple of months, starting in the next week or so---they already have noobs sitting with some of the experienced reps. *crosses fingers*
