I just saw a headline, "McCain Casts Himself as Middle-class Guardian"---to which I can only say, wtf?! I heard his rhetoric the other night, and since WHEN is $250K a year "middle-class"?! I make LESS than a tenth of that, what does that make me, white trash?

Not that I was planning to vote for him, but DAMN.

Middle class guardian my ass. He can go cast himself off the deep end of a pier if he thinks $250K is middle class.

Which pretty much shows how out of touch he is. I wonder if he's ever worked for minimum-wage---I doubt it!---and tried to make ends meet from paycheck to paycheck. The insensitive prick doesn't even know how many houses he has, how the hell dare he identify himself with middle-class anything!

God knows Bill Clinton eventually did some things that made me want to bury my registered Democrat card in the back yard, but he won my vote by knowing how much blue jeans and hamburger cost the first time he ran. In a country largely composed of people who do struggle from paycheck to paycheck, McCain's level of ill-informed is the last thing we need.

Most of Bill's transgressions were pecker-related, and that's true of about 70% of his gender at one time or another. The rest of the world thought we were nuts for carrying so much about sexual misconduct, but that beats the hell out of them hating us for invasions and torture. Americans used to be the good guys, not the assholes!

The good news on the day was Colin Powell endorsing Obama. I don't know how much difference it'll make, but it might help move a few people. And I love the symbolism.
