Today I turned over the last page of this year's calendar---where has 2008 gone?! I can hardly believe it's December! I worked on Xmas fic. And my resume. Also washed my hair, because the forecast called for a cold snap, and I knew I needed it asap, or I'd chicken out. The evil cold has progressed to my chest, where it's trying to cough its way out. I found a BOGO on cough medicine, so I'm swigging that and hoping it goes away soon.

Haven't had a lot of energy, but I went to the CUUPs Night Out which went really well. One of the gals there who has given me readings before did one tonight that was WAY better than any of the previous ones (all of which were consistantly rotten), so hopefully things are turning around! I wouldn't mind some hot romance OR travel in the near future*.

I got my first Christmas card of the season---my goodness, [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal, you certainly are well-organized! And, there are two houses in my subdivision with their holiday lights up so far, not including the Asshats next door, who have an inflatable snowman.

I suppose when I go in tomorrow I'll find out if I have to work next Sunday. I hope not....

I assume that you got your first Christmas card even though you wrote car---must be wishful thinking on your part! ha ha
Hope your Thanksgiving was great- my trip was one of the best of my life. I saw relatives I hadn't seen in nearly 20 years, including my 90 year old Grandmother. My cousin and I cooked for 30 people- they open their home to everyone so we had Mexicans that didn't speak English, workers on work release from prison, you name it. We all held hands in a circle and said what we were thankful for. My dear aunt is dying of cancer but was still the most positive, radiant woman that she's always been. It was a real blessing for me to make the trip. Ben Jr and I even stopped in front of a cotton field so he could pick some cotton. :)
I have been so happy since I got back that not even my grumpy boss can steal my joy!!!

Well organized-not so much. Desperately trying to avoid actually focusing on my job-definitely.
