Back when Alastair was first introduced and Dean confessed his activities in Hell, I had an idea for a fic where Alastair celebrated Dean's first anniversary as torturer's apprentice by telling him his dad never broke. And now? Kripke went and made it canon, different circumstances, same premise, and I am SO PISSED at myself for not writing it down, I can't begin to express it.

It is (very slightly) asuaged by the fact that John's righteousness is canon, now, too, although I can hear the John-haters snarking that he was really self-righteous---which may be true, to an extent, but still. Canon: John Winchester = righteous.

OtHoaP rocked so hard in so many directions that anything I say right now is going to be babble; I need to watch it again, but holy wow, I was blown away from beginning to end.

SPOILERS FOR NEXT WEEK'S TRAILER

The premise for the coming attraction they showed sounded AWFULLY familiar. Maybe kinda like You Must Remember This . IMDb doesn't list any upcoming appearances for Richard Speight Jr, a/k/a The Trickster, but you never know....

but still. Canon: John Winchester = righteous.
OH, this makes me glee! YAY FOR JOHN!

Poor Dean though, it must really suck to be him. As if he didn't feel guilty enough, now he thinks he's responsible for the freaking apocalypse! *pets the poor boy*

I'm only wondering about why God didn't rescue John from hell. Um plothole???

Because God has faith in John Winchester.

I think poor Dean would be squashed like a bug under the weight of all the fangirls who want to hug him right now. (But he suffers so beautifully!)

I was thinking last week that Uriel was a candidate for buying the farm, but I couldn't imagine who'd be able to kill him, since Castiel was technically in charge of him yet clearly was not the stronger of the two. I totally did not see the return of Anna coming.

Dean just completely broke my heart and Sam is getting seriously frightening. It's funny that this season he looks more like Season One Sam, who was hurt and still a little innocent, and now he's doing some very bad things. He's about that close to getting too far on the dark side.

And I'm so glad they let us see the brothers mourning Pamela. She was awesome and deserved that.

Sam is scaring my socks off. That little smile of his while he was tearing Alastair a new one? Very creepy. (Go, Jared! Great work!)

And Dean...last night was kind of the ultimate OH DEAN! Jensen is a total rock star, going from one extreme---matter-of-fact torture to damaged and vulnerable---and of course, either way he's so damn pretty it hurts.

I really, really wish Jeff could find enough of a gap in his schedule for them to bring John back long enough to give Dean a heart-to-heart. Dean already had "not good enough" issues before this, now---?!

Oh, Dean!

Ruby's little smile when Sam dove for her arm gave me a complete case of the creeps. The map-burning scene was rather cool, but I couldn't help but think that GPS on Dean's phone would be as efficient without charring any tabletops.

I wish Dean could remember that the die for all this was cast long before he was even born, back when the YED got his hooks into teenage Mary. He so needs to hear from his dad that this was not his fault. Maybe someday Jeff will get a half day free and send a guest appearance in by cell phone camera or something. :)

Here's the thing: I canNOT stop thinking about Croatoan. Especially after this latest development. And this makes me wonder. If Sam was immune to the demon virus then, what does that mean in terms of his recent activities?

We know it didn't make him immune to possession, so should we infer that he won't become a demon despite exposure to demonic influence? And if that's the case, whose little science project was that, anyway? I think everyone assumed Azazel, because of the blood chalice at the end, but what if it wasn't Hell who was behind it? Gotta wonder, considering how willing the other side is to wipe whole towns off the map.

I really HATE plotholes like that.

It's really like the folks in charge changed offices and lost the flow chart, isn't it? Or maybe they have ADD and completely forgot about that loop in the plot when the angels got thrown into the mix.

Either that, or they want us to forget about it and are going to come up with an absolutely brilliant tie-in at the eleventh hour. (This is Kripke; I wouldn't put it past him.)

Aaaah! I just watched this ep! I had a meeting Thursday night and then didn't rush to see it, because I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD BE SO FREAKING AWESOME.

Sam --oh no, Dean --oh my baby, Castiel -- I love you. Uriel -- good riddance. Anna -- srsly?

Poor, poor Dean. I have nothing else to say.

Hee! Yeah, that sums it up pretty well. And I'm relieved they haven't offed Bobby---there have been some disturbing rumors---but hopefully Kripke got it out of his system when he ganked Pamela. (Ever notice how the cool chicks on this show all die horrible deaths?! TALK about misogyny!)
