Friendly skies, my ass!

vanillafluffyGK, being the supremely organized woman that she is, sent a copy of her airline itinerary when she made her reservation. Me, knowing my inability to keep track of that stuff by memory, flagged the email.
Supposedly she/they were arriving at 3:20PM. I called her phone beginning around 4:15 (to allow her time to disembark and get through baggage claims, and nothing. Nothing but voice mail. Finally, I got wise, went to the airline's website, looked up the flight info, and found out it was delayed, as in, it'll be landing in about 10 minutes, IE 6:45PM. Good grief!
From that, I'm going to presume that by the time they've gotten off the plane, collected their luggage, found their rental vehicle and gotten checked into their motel, it'll be time to put Thing One and Thing Two to bed---and they'll probably be absolutely deranged from all the stimulation of the day. Poor dear, I don't envy her. I'll ring her up in the morning before I leave for church and find out what she's got planned for the rest of the day.
It's so awesome to know that I don't have to fit her in around the demands of a whacked-out schedule! I know one of the things she has planned is to take Kat shopping for a proper 'mother-of-the-groom' dress---which Kat is churlish about. I wouldn't mind joining that expedition. And at some point, we'll be remodeling my dress, which I *am* looking forward to---I picked up a $3 disposable flash camera so I can take before and after pix, and you all can see what I've been babbling about.
Saturday feels so nice and normal. It's been a long time....
