I got a delightful comment for "Finish" over at the Pit of Voles.

"This was very well done. The emotional growth in this story was fantastic, and your 'read' on the Comedian was dead on, IMHO. Chocolates and cookies for you!"

The warm fuzzies are nice. One, that they recognized my protagonist's "emotional growth", and two, that they think I caught the Comedian's voice. (God knows, I read/saw enough JDM interviews to have a good idea of where his Comedian was coming from.)

For some reason, I've been rather distracted lately.... Thanks for pointing that out.

I've got a tall stack of condolance posts which I'll probably start addressing later this evening. I'm absolutely fine with your posting the news on your own LJ---I think it's really thoughtful of you, I'm grateful.

Now I'm going to go rustle something up in the way of food, since come to think of it, I haven't had breakfast or lunch today....
