Shh...don't tell anyone, but it's only about 85F today and it's glorious. It's been a very long time since we've had such balmy weather, and I'm reveling in it. Honestly, ANY gasp of air between June and September is welcome, but it's more to be expected in (early) June or (late) September than it is in July. Thank you, Universe.

Last night, after I'd settled into bed, a plot bunny crawled in with me and I scribbled a couple pages of something that I'll be posting later. It was inspired by the prompt "ambiguously gay duo", although it's more ambiguous than gay, IMO.

And on that cryptic note....

It's been just gorgeous today: cool, slightly overcast and LOW humidity. What a treat to be able to walk outside and not have my clothes immediately meld to my body!

That may account for my surge of optimism and productivity. I've posted today's ficlet at ff.net and am working on getting it ready for LJ with all the html and all. This is not, btw, the fic I was bitching about last night, this is last night's darling little angsty!bunny which has been cooperative from the get-go.

Only in Florida could 85 degrees be considered "balmy" - LOL!

It was around 77 here today, but it's supposed to be 90 on Sunday. Ugh.

Well, for the last few weeks it's been averaging around 91 with a heat index of 102, 84 with a heat index of 92 is downright blissful. At the moment, the Weather Sservice (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/) has it at 77 with a heat index of 78, although my house holds heat so I'm a WEE bit warmer...but not miserable. June was a marathon of misery, marinading in my own juices so to speak. My stock summer answer to "How are you?" is "Medium rare."

Hee! Love that (may have to borrow it)!

I totally feel ya about the heat. We don't get anywhere near the humidity that you do, but ours is still pretty bad. I f*cking HATE feeling sticky and sweaty and gross. My hair gets frizzy, my face gets shiny.... EWWWWWW!

If Halloween was tomorrow, I could go as an oil slick. And, not to give TMI here, but at my size, I sweat in places where other people don't even HAVE places. It's nasty. Hence the multiple long cool showers daily.
