There goes the neighborhood

The houses on either side of me have been empty for quite a while. The house to the east of me just got occupied---rather like Germany occupying France. They have kids: Noisy little fuckers. (There haven't been any kids on the block in ages, and I haven't bloody missed them.) They also have a yappy dog. What a treat this is going to be! Why, oh why, couldn't the Asshat's house have been the one to be rented? That's on the far side of my living quarters. This tribe is right next to my bedroom window.

I swear, PMS has gotten worse during menopause, maybe because nothing pulls the plug and drain all the rage. I'll be blunt: I've never much cared for kids, maybe because I remember how evil my peers were when I was one. And I've gotten used to the neighborhood being fairly quiet---I LIKE it like that. So this really makes me snarly.

I understand completely. I do! I have kids but I get *really* annoyed by what other people let THEIRS get away with.

I empathize completely. My neighbors' kids act like it's Lord of the Flies all the time and their own parents seem to dislike them. I also have a next door neighbor who "sings" and it sounds like Satan raping a whale (how's that for a non PC expression?)

"Satan raping a whale" is awesome. Gives a whole new meaning to "Whale Rider"...complete with a mental image of the horny red guy standing on the poor whale's back, forked tail jammed into its blowhole and pitchfork stabbing it in the neck.
