Seriously---I ordered "Catch and Release" a week ago last Friday---tomorrow will be two weeks---and the tracking still shows it as being prepared for shipment. Not shipped, in progress. WTF, people?! That's ridiculous! And I thought *I* was a world-class procrastinator!

Did you have free shipping? Lately Amazon and other book sellers don't get around to the free shipping stuff until they feel like it.

Nope, it was El Cheapo shipping, $2.99. And the site is saying I'll get it between 10/2-10/19. Good grief!

I think they send it by camel train when it's cheapo or free shipping. It once took three weeks to get a book from an Amazon seller in east Tennessee to my house. I could have walked there and back faster. *fume*

...And I just got an email that it shipped. Two weeks and a day after I ordered it. I am seriously underwhelmed by the service, and if it was eBay instead of Amazon, I'd be leaving a negative review.

Btw, I'm proud to say that I have made my yummy licorice last for a whole month after my b-day. Good stuff, thanks again!

I'm proud of you too! That was the best-smelling licorice I'd ever come across -- very rich and natural. :)

I got an e-mail back yesterday from an Abe Books vendor when I inquired the other day about a late order that said "don't contact us unless it doesn't show up by Oct. 22." Which would be ONE month after I ordered it.

I think this is all a giant conspiracy to force folks into paying extra for shipping, but I'm as patient as a rock when it comes to parting with money. *g*

I've been on the other end of the phone for that conversation, and I *do* understand the process---but that's along the lines of "Overnight shipping does not mean it'll be on your doorstep at 9 AM if you ordered it at 11:59 PM." I understand, "Economy shipping can take up to ten business days to arrive." (Ten business days = two weeks) But two weeks to ship? Inexcusable, unless the vendor was recuperating from an organ transplant or the like.
