The hat in your icon would have been the perfect topper to that outfit, not that it needed one. You look lovely, and I am reminded afresh how terrific you look with shorter, layered hair. Years tumble off you. You don't look fifty, my dear.
Heehee. Thank you. I have a really ugly picture in the attic, that's my secret! *wink* Oh, and btw, that's my natural hair color, I haven't touched it up in a year and have pruned it back to my roots.
I thought the hat might be just a little over the top, but I'll keep it in mind next time.
Thanks, honey! That's the skirt I mentioned the other day, the vest and the top were both from clearence sales last winter, and I've had the shoes for a year or so. so it's not like I spent a zillion bucks putting it together, and it's all stuff I can get some wear out of.
I love the hair, just because it's more manageable this way. Well, yeah, that and it does look kinda cute. Since you and I have clearly read the same books as kids, you'll know what I mean when I say I think of it as Pam Hollister hair. .
Fabulous outfit, hon! You have lost a lot of weight, and you look so cute and sassy with that short haircut. It took years off you when you got it cut in layers.
Thanks. It helps me feel a little less frustrated---I've been teetering back and forth through the same five pounds for two months now. I'm SO close to breaking 300...if I could just drop ten pounds. Right now, that's all I want, to maintain a weight beginning with a "2--".
But I can still look and feel fabulous; yesterday I pulled out a dress I've had for a couple years that I haven't worn since March...and it's decidedly loose. So...progress.
I need some new threads desperately! May have to hit the local thrift shops for some winter attire. I thought that there would be some at the UU rummage sale but alas, no.
I think most of our "good stuff" comes out for the clothing swaps, and that tends to be in the spring. I picked up several long-sleeved tops last winter during and after the cold snap, so I should be set. These days it feels like I hardly ever get to any thrift stores...maybe once a month. (Compared to at least weekly when I worked next to Goodwill.)
