Last night, during the State of the Union address, the President was talking about the many, many departments of government, and how complex they are. "For instance," he said, "if they're in fresh water, salmon come under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior. If they're in salt water, they're handled by the Department of Commerce." Pregnant pause. "...I hear it gets even more complicated if you smoke them."

It gave me a good laugh...and a craving for some "complicated" salmon.
