Awaiting Mb for a run to the food bank. Also, she's going to start ringing me up at 8AM so I can try to normalize my sleep pattern. Otherwise, I do good for a couple days, then revert to the whole up-til-4AM thing.

J. liked her dachshund tote. We got together Saturday evening, schmoozed for a bit and I also recorded a voicemail message for her phone. She could have opted for the generic canned message, but she decided my dulcet tones are preferable.

I'm enjoying the History Channel show "Inspector America", in which a civil engineer travels to various cities and points out flaws in the local infrastructure. Last night he was in San Francisco, and I was quite chuffed to find out that the city collects restaurant grease (to keep it out of its overtaxed sewers) and converts it to biodiesel to power the fleet of trucks it uses to collect the grease.

Huh. I'm surprised I didn't have a biodiesel tag. Or maybe I've just never mentioned my fantasy of converting a vintage diesel Mercedes to biodiesel....

* Don't mind me, I'm just having a Kris Kristofferson moment.

That idea of recycling the grease to kep the grease trucks running - very clever!
*Not a ME moment at all? *pouts* But yay for Kris!

Sorry honey, I've had a Thing for KK since I was 17, I'm afraid he has seniority.

Are you having spring yet? (Or at least lousy skiing weather?)

*mumble-mumble* Fiiiine...
Spring is here, at last. However, in the back corner of our gardern there is still a pile of snow. I assume it is from the roof of the garage the nasty neighbours own and which they shovelled to our garden without asking if they could.

That's the difference between our climates---you say "Spring is here!" while there are still snowdrifts on the ground. Meanwhile, here it's currently 32.7---spring has stampeded past and summer is here, regardless of what the calendar may say.

I would take some 4 degrees off yours and be very happy indeed...
Oh and about biodiesel - this morninig in the local news there was a comment about a company who has begun to produce that here! Yes!

Hullo! We've been super-busy at work, so I went in today (usually have Mondays off) and probably have walked off a couple of pounds with dashing from one room to the other getting things done.

J.'s right about the answering machine. I hate to get one of those canned messages, and it'll sound much more personal in your voice.

Too bad that you had to go in on your day off. How was Mother's Day? Did they do anything special for you, I hope?

Corgikid gave me a very sweet card. Corgiguy has been sick, so we didn't do anything special, just stayed around the house so he could rest.

Maybe you'll get to do something when things get back to normal. Something fun!
