Rocket and I have been to the vet for his shots and annual check-up. His senior dog blood work came back sound as a dollar, which is marvelous for a gentleman of his years. And he was very nice and did not try to nip anyone this time.
He's 11 and a half. Corgis usually live 12 or 13 years -- 16 is the longest I've ever heard, but he's still a lively fellow. He's slowed down a good bit this summer because it's too danged hot to be taking walks in a wooly black coat, but otherwise he's fine.
In some ways, it's just as well LJ wasn't readily accessible. I'm not sure how much of my sore shoulder, my effed up food and menstrual issues my f-list would have appreciated being subjected too.
