As it turned out, I was at J's til Sunday evening. Never left the appartment. Which would've been okay, except it also means I haven't seen Cowboys and Aliens yet.

Stuff I *have* seen in the last few days:

Movies
I Am Number Four
Tron Legacy
Taken
The Freshman

TV (All courtesy of Mb, as J has sucky cable)
Leverage
Alphas
Hoarders
American Pickers
The F Word

Mb likes Liam Neeson (Taken), too. Who knew? Mind you, my crush dates back to Darkman, which I saw in theaters. (I'd also seen him in Excaliber and Krull, but didn't really *see* him, especially in Krull, IFKWIM.

Have a nice Tuesday.

Caelie and I just watched I Am Number Four. What did you think? I actually read the book about a year ago, which is why I wanted to see the movie. I confess the main reason I wanted to see the movie was for Tim.

Overall, it was about what I expected from the media when it came out. Although the whole "We love forever" thing--! Don't ANY youth-lriented movies these days have a healthy message about relationships?! Between that and all the weird, stalker-y vamp flicks--!

Ditto the Tim lust. Him and Jake Abel. I hadn't read the book, but I *knew* his character was doomed. Chalk it up to writer's intuition.

Yeah, I knew going in that Henri was doomed but I still wanted to see Tim chew the scenery. The movie was fairly true to the book (though the book went into a lot more detail, of course). Felt sorry for the poor Chimera/Dog when everyone left it behind at the school and it had to limp its way to them!!

*grin* Yeah, I loved the dog. Was a little concerned at first that it was A Bad Thing and was relieved that it was a Good Dog.

*nods*

In the book, Henri knows about the shape-shifter. The filmmakers, however, wanted to keep that reveal a secret til the end of the movie. Also, in the book, Henri teaches John a lot more about his abilities and how to use them -- they didn't really do much with that in the movie for whatever reason.

And whoops! Didn't even think about spoiling the movie for anyone. SO sorry about that!

Too busy focusing on the forever-love aspect to develop anything else.

Liam Neeson was in Excalibur and Krull? Huh. Obviously I didn't see him either! (I liked Cowboys and Aliens a lot. Definitely one to see when it's cool enough to venture out. Though it might be gone by then. *g*)

He was the cyclops in Krull, so that's why I say I didn't really "see" him. Small part in Excalibur, he was Gawain, a small part in a big cast.

Starting next week, I'll be house-sitting about five minutes from the multiplex, and I'm sure C&A will still be there. I'm looking forward to that for the a/c and the chance to get my sleep schedule regular.
