I'm in the process of reclaiming my laundry room, I've done three loads of laundry in the last 48 hours, and sorted a bunch more. And that's just the stuff that was already out there, heaven help me! There's lots more strewn around the rest of the house. But...gotta start somewhere.

My "new" iPod has been saving my sanity. It gives me some games to entertain myself with, and the notes function---well, it's not as versatile as actually being on line, but it beats scribbling longhand. Last night, I actually commited fic---or what'll probably be the first half of one, the first thing I've written in months. (SPN/Sons of Anarchy crossover, FWIW.)

Sunday afternoon at the library is fast becoming a habit. In a while, I'll go over to J's and check my email again and stick around for OnceUpon a Time*, which is rather interesting so far.

/----/----/----/

* But not in Mexico.

Yay for reclaiming the laundry room! I wish I HAD a laundry room to reclaim...
My good deeds consisted of doing 1.5 loads of laundry (into which I somehow forgot to add my underwear... :( I have no idea HOW could I forget that but I did!!) The 0.5 load was of woollen stuff (cardigans, etc) which in the end turned into another extra rinse cycle as the damn thing did not get rid of the foam with the 1st try... so basically it was 2 loads, in the end.
We sort of reclaimed a bit of floor from the living room and kitchen, which was good. And of TV, I managed this weekend to watch my beloved Rosemary & Thyme!!
P.S. Funny you mentioned Mexico (Day of the Dead being around the corner etc) since I listed my WIPs to another on-line friend and realised that there are at least ONE about Mexico among them!

I've lost count of how many loads I've done, and to my HORROR, I moved some stuff out in the garage and found a vast pile of bedding which is going to be at least three loads all by itself. In among the many loads I've done, though,, I *have* found 10 pairs of panties, most of them in better shape than the ones that have been in frequent rotation.

OUaTiM fandom seems like so long ago...hodh, that was 2004---wow, amazing. In some ways, it seems a lot longer, in others, not nearly.

Good for finding the panties! Yay! You can toss the often-used ones!

I am so glad each time when I see your comment appear in my inbox...
Pathetic, I know. But I have felt rather alone recently...

I know how that feels. Last week, I was coming unglued trying to figure out where the money was coming from...there are people who say if your problems can be solved by money, they aren't really problems. Well, that's a load of horseshit. I am so tired about thinking in terms of how many minutes every phone call is, how much gas every drive is, what channels I can and can't get, lack of internet, and not being able to indulge in a magazine or a movie or a restaurant meal. And not knowing where anything is coming from---I'm hanging on by by nails.

Uh-uh. I am so with you on that. I have been collecting the empty recyclable bottleware that students leave behind to augument my financies but as it is colder, and I assume the students have also learned the value of money, there is not much of that around anymore. I sure hope you also unearthed more cans from your laundry room, so you can get some influx of cash from that. Well, at least you have a HOPE that you may have cans there... ;)

Once Upon a Time in Mexico was my first serious fandom. First writing I did after several painful years of drought. How I found the Pit of Voles, and made a friend there who lured me to LJ by telling me about Yuletide. Ultimately, I owe it all to Johnny Depp as a crooked CIA operative....

As I sort of knew. But I couldn't help throwing a shout-out to one of Sergio Leone's masterpieces.
