WOW! You know my thoughts on the show, but damn sweetie, you've been one hard-core, staunch fan. So what ever did to lose you...it must have been EPIC Fail!
If this was Bobby's end, then the show did a damned good job of keeping it under wraps. There was not a whisper out there that his neck was on the block.
I'm hoping they're just giving Jim Beaver some time off until Cas comes back and raises Bobby from the dead.
Speaking of JB, he fucking broke my heart with the line about adopting two boys who turned out great.
Yeah, considering how often the "Bobby's gonna die!" rumors have flown, this really came out of the blue. I've said all along that they wouldn't off him because Robert Singer would think it was bad luck, but then he directed the frackin' episode!
I'll probably get slammed for saying this, but, I don't really care if they bring Cas back or not. Nothing against Misha, he's darn scenic, but I've never been that wild about the character to begin with. Maybe because it seemed to me that the show started to suffer about the time the angels showed up....
Don't worry, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Bobby. Death and Crowley both want the Leviathan back in Purgatory. There's gotta be a deal in there, somewhere, that doesn't require Bobby spending time in Hell.
O_O THE ANGELS! Maybe Bobby will round up the Heavenly Host to help the boys take on the Leviathan.
I didn't even know you were still watching! (I've been checking occasionally over the last few months to see if you were meta-ing on it, and since you didn't seem to be, I assumed you'd stopped watching).
As for me, I'm sticking it out to the bitter end. :)
I didn't care much for how they offed Castiel without giving him any chance to make amends (and also how the world at large seems to have forgotten the trenchcoated stranger who killed so many religious leaders), and yeah, if they get rid of Bobby now, I won't be a happy camper, either....but I still will watch for Dean, if nothing else. And who knows, maybe Cas will be back in some form (and Bobby, too, if applicable).
I've missed several eps this season, because I don't have cable anymore, and I don't get CW among the channels I do get. I've had a friend recording them for me, but she had a DVR crash...so I'm behind the 8-ball and feeling kind of apathetic. The occasional brilliant ep does NOT make up for the fact that this is NOT the show I want to watch.
I was coming here to suggest a singer_salvage Bobby-centric comment-fic meme in response to the episode, but if you're off the show entirely, that's understandable.
