I love Mb, really I do. *And* her glorious a/c. I've even fallen for one of her tiny little adorable kittens, me, the NOT-a-cat-person. However, she has this bizarre notion that LJ made her former computer catch fire, so I am forbidden from accessing it on her current computer. (I'd use mine, but her wireless is fubar and she doesn't care about fixing it.) I've missed youse guys.

Tried Burger King's new bacon sundae, OMG, much nommynomnom! Salty-sweet fans, rejoice! Mb, who turned me on to salted caramel, says it would be better with more caramel and less hot fudge, which I agree would also be good. Either way, much yumminess!

Had canasta night at J's with Mb and J's BFF. Good times! Plus, J has wireless, so I got to catch up with some LJ, update my apps, the usual. OTOH, J has only extreme basic cable, while Mb has the full-on digital package. But they both have AIR.

GK will be here Thursday, woohoo. Friday is the memorial service for Bryan and the reunion. I need to go through my clothes and figure out what I want tailoring help with. Am probably going to drop out of the ovrnight trip to Savannah for money reasons. As much as I'd like to get away with GK, I don't have money for restaurant eating unless it's very fast food.

I discovered to my absolute horror that I inadvertantly paid FPL via a bank account that was closed last year. So while I was off at Mb's, blithely thinking everything was taken care of, it's not, and now they've tacked on yet another fee and I still have to pay it. I am SO fucked. *headdesk*

Time to dust off the resume again. I've got a few leads. Knock wood one of them will have me.

I had already decided to hit BK tonight for the bacon sundae, but reading this makes it even more definite.

Let me know what you think! I was sold just on the description, cuz it has several of my favorite things under one roof, so to speak: bacon, hot fudge and soft-serve ice cream. (If my teeth weren't so sensative, I'd be completely blissed.)

All good mojo greatly appreciated!

Maybe your local Burger King doesn't have them yet, or maybe they're a US phenom. Basically, it's vanilla soft-serve ice cream, with a combo of hot fudge and caramel toppings (leaning toward the fudge) topped with a generous handful of crisp bacon and garnished with a full strip. Sublime.

I may have to attempt to make bacon brownies, now.

Interesting! I mentioned bacon cheesecake to Mb, kind of a savory cheesecake...after all, bacon works in quiche, which isalso baked---okey, not *quite* the same. Sounds tempting in theory, though!

There's a local restaurant that serves them. So tasty, that I couldn't resist finding a recipe online, though I haven't made it yet. I DID make bacon chocolate chip cookies, but I didn't like them as much as I expected to...the bacon kind of disappeared into the cookie. Sigh.

Huh, bacon cheesecake? Too bad my hubby has a dairy allergy, or I'd so have to try that.

One week-end, I paid both the first and second mortgages via an account that had $3 in it by mistake~ luckily, Bank of America was very kind in taking off the fees since it was an honest (and one-time) mistake!

I'm highly astonished, since most of what I hear about BoA is horror stories.

The was the Suntrust account that I closed because they'd started charging whacking huge fees unless you had a certain balance.

Btw, knowing how much you like sea-salt caramels, I thought you in particular would want to hear abut the bacon sundae. I know, mondo cholesterol, but oh-so-good as an occasional indulgence!

No, that sundae sounds really awful to me~ I like ice cream and I like bacon but not together~ bacon goes with eggs and toast IMHO!

More for the rest of us, then! (But y'know, ice cream on waffles works, and so does waffles and bacon. So it isn't *that* much of a stretch!)

I could do waffles and fried chicken for sure~ that's about as far as I can go!
You all enjoy your bacon ice cream. I'll stick with my pistachio frozen yogurt!

I've never quite gotten the whole "waffles and fried chicken" thing. Chicken and dumplings, sure. Biscuits? Ace. Waffles?! I dunno, I never had any that way, but if I found a place that served them, I'd give it a try. Are butter and syrup involved...?

I would assume so~ syrup poured over fried chicken has a certain appeal. Throw in the waffle for good measure and there's a week's worth of cholesterol on one plate!
