(no subject)

I'm trying to resync my sleep schedule, really I am. Especially since I'm scheduled for jury duty at fuck-me-o'clock next Monday.

So Sunday, as I mentioned, I slept til 1 in the afternoon. Was up all night, went to the food bank with Mb Monday morning, then running around: dog park, her bank, CVS drugs, Publix, Sallys Beauty Supply---I returned the stuff I got for the reunion, because $11---FPL pay station, then home,, where I put my stuff away and crashed. It was after 11AM, so I'd been up for about 22 hours. I used to be able to do stuff like that. These days, not so much.

Anyway, I slept til nearly 8PM, missed J's five phone calls telling me The Box from GK has arrived, and I've been up all night catching up on DVR'ed stuff. Looked at listings, was nonplused to see all the infomercials, until I realized it was 3AM. Guh.

Anyway, I'm going to get The Box from J around 10, and try to stay up as late as I can. If I miss primetime, so be it. Hopefully, by Wednesday, I'll have enough of my shit together to do some job hunting. (It makes such a bad impression when you're semi-comatose.)

I need to do some cooking...I got sausages, onions, corn, spinach/arrugala salad greens, a bunch of fruit---yay, mangoes!, strawberries, grapes and a whole pineapple---now to put them to work. With what I've got in the pantry, there's no reason that shouldn't feed me for most of the week.

I know I'm probably boring the hell out of y'all, but it's all I've got.

*hugs* Now that you've lost weight and gotten experience with J's dog training venture, you could apply for front desk jobs with veterinarians. There's not much standing involved, and people are still spending on their pets even in this accursed economy.

That, and the local humane society is always looking for people.

I got the box and the Nook, and a few other goodies, so I'll probably be engrossed by that for a while.

Thank you! I should have dressed up or something to mark the day -- got a cute little blue and white polka-dotted shirt dress the other day -- but my new leave the house time is 6:30 a.m., so I do well to get into any kind of clothes and fling myself into the car. :D

You're going to love the Nook. There is so much great stuff out there to read.

Awesome, thanks! I'm already hooked on Nook---I've uploaded a boatload of stuff courtesy of XSO---and I've still got 80% capacity left. And the battery! Wow! I've read for hours, and it's not in dire need of a charge---my iPhone would've pooped out ages ago!---so I'm confident that it'll last all day while I'm on jury duty.

Don't be too hard on yourself -- it can be incredibly difficult to regulate (or re-regulate) a sleep schedule. Baby steps... :-)

Spent a couple days doing nothing but, starting to think I got bit by a tetze fly or something. Blerg. Am going to be crawling into bed shortly, and if my patternholds, I'll wake in a few hours, pee,shower and go back to sleep....

I LOL'd at that. Makes me think of that other early-morning expression: getting up at the ass-crack of dawn.

Meh, my sleep is all off, too....but slowly getting better.

*hugs back* Yeah, I miss him, too. Wouldn't it be lovely if they brought him back for the SPN series finale? (t can't last forever...I'm personally surprised it's lasted this long. They lost me for good when they ganked Bobby, although I was lackluster from S6 onward.)

It will never get back to the glory days of S2 (my fave season), but I'm still watching and enjoying it. Compared to a lot of other network tv, SPN is still the best show on TV, IMO.
