Craftiness happens

This afternoon, I finished the most labor-intensive necklace I've ever made. More than eight hours are invested in it. I began with a chain of crocheted wire, beaded the middle allowing about three inches on either end, with thick, chunky beads on both sides of the chain. Then I did the same with seed beads on the ends--it's encrusted with beads, but they're smaller/lighter/less bulky than the middle. The colors are mostly pastels--pink and blue, lavender and green--with pearls and opals and shine and sparkle. I'm very pleased with it. (The only bad thing is, it used up an awful lot of my plain clear seeds.)
Maybe I'll venture a bracelet in the same technique. That should take a lot less time and still be showy. Beadwork and a movie on a Saturday night--not terribly exciting, but it's economical and productive....
