Beneath the cut is a Q&A I snagged from
dine. Nothing earth-shaking, just a bunch of things you probably didn't know about me, and I may not know about you. (But would like to, if you're inclined to share.)
1) Where do you live?
Florida, USA (Born in Staten Island, NY)
2) How old are you?
45--and I'm *not* going to say 'years young'. I'm perimenopausal and none too thrilled about it.
3) Married, or otherwise attached?
Never married, not currently attached, open to possibilities....
4) Kids? How many? How old?
None. Thank Goddess.
5) Pets?
Plot bunnies.
6) Occupation?
Unemployed at the moment, but telephone customer service seems to be recurring dharma.
7) Religious leanings?
Lapsed Lutheran, born-again Pagan, a/k/a Unitarian Universalist.
8) Political leanings?
Dyed-in-the-wool Democrat, although less liberal than I used to be.
9) What do you do for fun?
I write fan-fic, create wire jewelry, like to hang out in thrift stores and am embarking on belly-dancing classes
10) Play any instruments?
Not very well, but I play doumbek a little and Native American flute a little. I've played the recorder and the harmonica, but that was in high school. I used to be able to read music, but it's been aeons.
11) Favorite types of music?
I have broad tastes, depending on mood. Can range from Spike Jones to Enya to The Who, with side-trips by way of Johnny Cash and Dropkick Murphys. I still like KC and the Sunshine Band, but I also have a taste for the Atomic Fireballs. I have a lingering sentimental fondness for Judas Priest and assorted 80s hair bands. My older brother awoke an appreciation of classical music and opera. Anything except the kind of rap where they scream obscenities and talk about killing people. Zero tolerence there.
12) What makes YOU special?
I am unique! I am the only person in the world who is exactly like Me! I am the very bestest Me I can be, and after extensive practice, I'm getting really good at it. Nobody else can be Me as well as I can, and I've learned that I am absolutely miserable trying to be anyone who wasn't Me. Having given that up, I am much more able to focus on perfecting the Me that I am deep down.
