Title: A Song of the Green Fairy
Authored by:
vanillafluffy
Pairing/spoilers: Identity of Jack the Ripper (per the movie "From Hell")
Rating/Work-safeness: Yellow for drug use
Approximate word count: 5000
Disclaimer: Johnny Depp does not belong to me. Neither do any rights to the source material.
Summary: An homage to "A Christmas Carol": Victorian, but not exactly Dickens.... Inspector Abberline is visited by three spirits, from his angst-ridden past to his debauched present and a future far different from what he's predicted.
A/N: This was originally written and posted at FF.net on Christmas Eve, 2004. It predates my involvement with LJ, and I'd like to see it gain a wider audience.
( Looking around the room, Abberline felt a frisson in spite of himself at the sight of the looming, shrouded figure. It beckoned to him, and he rose stiffly from the bed and walked toward the faceless apparition. )
